Research Fields: Xibin Zhao has been dedicated to research in network security anomaly detection and attack tracing, focused on building a comprehensive network security defense system that covers the entire life cycle of data perception, processing, and analysis. In the field of anomaly detection, he is devoted to entity behavior feature modeling, out-of-distribution data analysis, and new attack detection algorithms based on deep learning. In terms of attack tracing, he studies construction of multi-host and full-system tracing diagrams by unified modeling based on multi-level logging and further explores the diagrams’ compression, repre-sentation, and modeling methods and establishment of a set of tracing diagram collection and manage-ment algorithms for different data sources and systems, and effective reconstruction of the attacker's complete attack chain through approaches such as attack entry point analysis and link restoration. His research areas include information system security, industrial networks and control, enterprise in-formationization, artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, and knowledge automation.
